Workstations are divided into a low writing desk and a high lab bench. The
desk areas, lab bench sides, and trim are made of cherry hardwood, and many
of the wearing surfaces such as the counters and the drawer faces are stainless
steel. Stainless steel is durable and easily maintained. In combination
with the ceiling, indirect lighting creates a synthesized space image.
